Zia Lucia

Zia Lucia in Wandsworth

I was invited down to Zia Lucia in Wandsworth to try out their menu. I went with Natasha who has a Gluten Free diet.

Gluten Free Ortolana
Red Vegana with Vegetable Charcoal Base

The seating was lovely we sat outside, we had good weather on that day so it is nice being outside, we got greeted by the friendly and helpful staff that talked us through the menu

We got two starters

We got two starters:

Olives – they had my favourite type of olives Nocellara. they are so delicious and flavoursome with seed in centre, the olive is very fleshy and fresh.

Gluten Free Focaccia – we order age lovely Gluten Free Focaccia, I had something else in mind more the classically style of Focaccia, but this was just as nice a lovely garlic and rosemary flavour, the texture was nice even for Gluten Free.

I got the Red Vagana with Vegetable Charcoal base – the Red Vegana usually comes with tomato, garlic, oregano, roasted peppers, red onion and olives, I asked them to add courgettes, artichokes and truffle oil which worked so well this is a cheese less pizza and the cheese was not missed at all as the flavours all popped the truffle oil was the star.

Ortolana with Gluten Free base and Vegan Mozzerella – Ortolana comes with tomato, courgettes, roasted peppers and olives, the base on this was a lot more dense but couldn’t tell the difference with it being Gluten Free, the cheese wasn’t the best felt abit pasty when chewing other then that it was an enjoyable pizza.

This was a lovely experience nice to see vegan options opening up in restaurants.
