This the perfect warming and comforting recipe for autumn, with a perfect combination of flavours and textures bursting with goodness.
Quinoa is gluten-free, high in protein and one of the few plant foods that contain all nine essential amino acids. Quinoa also high in fiber, magnesium, B vitamins, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E and various beneficial antioxidants.
Spiced Quinoa ingredients:
- 1 cup quinoa
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp maca
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp all spice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- third wave nutrition plantforce natural protein powder
- almond or coconut milk
- agave syrup
- vegan butter
- cocoa nibs
- hemp seeds
- mint or basil
rinse the quinoa well before you place in saucepan to boil adding in water, cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, maca, salt. Simmer for 15 mins until quinoa is ready.
caramelise the pecans in a pan by adding nuts, butter and sugar, continuously stir and when sugar has caramelised, take out the pan and leave to cool.
mix tahini and agave to make a sweet paste
mix third wave nutrition protein and almond milk (make the consistency as thick or thin as prefered)
put quinoa in to bowl, add in the protein milk mix, drizzle on the tahini dressing on top
add on toppings (you can mix and match as you like but this combination work very well).
